PUERTO MADRYN

So a bit of a disappointment. Firtst one. We got there at 0700 am and got a bus straight to Peurto Piramedas. spelling to be determined at a later time. We met two Aussie's on the bus who had 10% discount for the whale watching and hopped on their train. *not literally just mean hang out* ... We went on the whale watching in the rain (forgot to mention it was raining cats and dogs). It was cool but basically we went on a boat  not that far from shore and had a bunch of momma whales and babies swim next to us. The company of Claire and Tom really helped as the situation was not optimal to Tom's standards...haha! really funny if you heard him say it because his poncho was too short and his butt was gettin soaked! After the whale watching, we had some wine and chatted. During the conversations, \i laughed with tears harder than this whole trip probably with Toms story...which goes a little something like this: Tom gets bad motion sickness. He is in pediatry and deals with meds frequently. He took like 3 pills on the bus ride from El Calafete(where we are now) AND CLAIRE asked(the keys on the keyboard are opposite btw) "are the pills working". tom answered..."yes claire i feel great they are really working" . The day of the whale watching he got the pills out to take another and happened to look at the lable..........ANTIDIARHHEAL!"!!!!! hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!!!!! needles to say he had not gone to the bathroom in 3 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The story is much better with him tellin it but it was hilarious!!!!!!!!!!
We stayed in Piramades with a downpour and all the stores were having to shovel the mud and water constantly. Seafood was nothing compared to gulf! mainly mussels and squid. The next day we were getting the bus to ~Madryn but when we got there the bus pulled around the corner and did not move. I ran to the info desk with one english speaking person we knew would be there and asked what up with the bus. She proceeded to tell me the bus did not leave till 1800. The first thought that went into my head was that BLAKE WOULD NOT BE HAPPY! he was not happy i was right. But we walked around and actually had fun on the shore fighting the wind.
We got the 1800 bus to madryn and stayed at the hostel anna and james(the same british couple we have had the joy of hanging out with...the engaged couple). Went to a not very good restaurant..the first one of our trip...and got up in the morning and rented a car to go see the penguins.
PENGUINS. First i should talk abou the car. POS...if you know what stands for. We drove  2and half hours to see the penguins. To sum it up: we were there for 45min...It was funny watching the penguins walk but it was not like on the discovery channel fo sho..
When we got back to return the car*which blake drove 100-120 km and hour the whole way" thkeyboard rely is difficult.  THE PLACE WAS CLOSED!! blake not happy!! he ran to a telefonica to call the number and as he was cursing the woman on the other end, the pimp looking guy showed up and went straight to the dcar to fix blake parking job! haha!
luckily we made it to the bus station 10min before our bus left to find it was an hour late. After getting on the bus we had to change buses an hour later because something was woring with our bus....long story short we made to Rio Gallegos 20min after the bus left. We sat at the bus staion till our next bus came. And Anna and James made it for that bus 2 min before we took off!! woop!
